This post has taken me a while to get out because I have struggled with how I can express my deepest gratitude to all the models, the two amazing wedding dress designers, our hair and make up artists, jewelry consultant and our florist. To everyone that made the fashion show beautiful and all the vendors that made the bridal show stunning, thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. xo

Wings Over the Rockies made for a unique venue to host our first ever fashion show. It is beautiful and masculine engineering that really made our show rise above anything I could have imagined. The planes surrounding bridal beauty is what our show is about, simply elegant. No fancy backdrops or lighting.

All of the gowns in the show are handmade with love in Colorado. Two designers with the love of fashion and the desire to make you the dress you have always dreamed of, is the basis of their business and why they do what they do.  Our first designer to be represented in the show was Be Unique Bridal, by Sarah who is not only a designer but a seamstress. I was blown away when I saw the models walk out wearing her gowns. It was like the dress was made for each model. Absolutely beautiful. She has a really information bridal blog, where she talks about what goes into making a dress, you can see her latest designs and learn more about a local Colorado designer. Check it out here.

Ming is wearing a lovely D’Lola Couture wedding dress and carrying a bouquet from Amore Fiori (left), Chelsea in a beautiful full skirt from Be Unique (middle) and Ashley (right) in a short skirt from Be Unique. All the jewelry is complements of Geri’s Gems – A Chloe + Isabel Boutique.

When D’Lola Couture joined with us to be a part of Simply Bridal Show, I was honored to have a bridal fashion power house model their gowns in our show. I love supporting Colorado companies and D’Lola is what it is all about. They work with local fashion schools to help graduating students get their foot in the door of the fashion world.  When D’Lola started it was the vision of a beautiful husband and wife team, Justin and Deedee Vicory, who had a family of seamstresses and the fashion community there to support them and D’Lola took flight. Last year the fashion world lost a very special part of D’Lola when Justin left for “Active Angel Duty” but he is really looking out for them because this year has been a huge year for Deedee and her team at D’Lola Couture. Just a few weeks ago when we talked about her plans for 2016, she was at almost 100 wedding dresses for this year alone. That is a lot of happy Colorado brides.

I owe a lot to them for teaching me how to put such a beautiful show on. They taught the models how to walk and fitted each model to her dress perfectly. When the ladies came out, they walked with fierce and confident attitudes like they owned that dress and they did. It was amazing. As the show producer, I have to say that I cried a bit when I saw all the hard work that everyone put into the show come to life. Thank you. Thank you for everything.

Maria Masha is wearing a long gown from Be Unique (top left), Masha is wearing a long gown with a low v in the back from Be Unique (top right), Ashley is walking past the packed crowd of brides to be at the fashion show and Katie is wearing a beautiful long gown from Be Unique (bottom right).

Every seat was taken, full of brides looking for their wedding day inspiration and I believe many of them found it at Simply Bridal Show. Never have I seen so many beautiful handmade masterpieces in one room. Not only did the brides get to see stunning bridal gowns but also lovely jewelry from Geri’s Gems –  A Chloe + Isabel Boutique. I am not a bride anymore but I bought a bunch of pieces from Geri. I love C+I and wear something from their collection almost daily. The jewelry is as versatile as you are, change it up by dressing up or just going out for a coffee. I love it and I know you will too!

This D’Lola dress is my garden wedding dream gown. I would never want to take it off. It is beautiful and makes a huge statement. The Retro Glam Square Cut Necklace with matching earrings from Chloe + Isabel look stunning with that gown.

Look at that bouquet from Amore Fiori. It is fabulous and really complements the gown. Maria Masha rocked that D’Lola Couture wedding dress while carrying such an amazing bouquet. Amore Fiori is located in the Stapleton neighborhood and run by the most fun group of ladies and of course Vienna, the little dachshund. My favorite part is that they teach classes on floral design and they have a boutique shop that reminds me Italy, with lovely items for your home and for yourself. I love the vintage jewelry collection they have.

More beautiful bouquets! Made with love from Amore Fiori.

The floral arrangements from Amore Fiori were so beautiful, Irene looks stunning with her bouquet and D’Lola long strapless dress. Top right, Ashley is wearing a short bridal gown from Be Unique, Center: Monica is wearing a sweet D’Lola gown with lovely bouquet from Amore Fiori and bottom right, Masha is looking fabulous in her D’Lola “Angelique” gown. Please check out more of the designs here.

When all the ladies walked out wearing their D’Lola gowns to end the show, it was amazing to see the diversity of the dresses by Designer Deedee Vicory, she truly has a gown for every brides dream wedding. Each dress was so different from the next and offers styles that will complement any body type.

Without the talent and skills of our amazing hair and makeup artists this would not have been possible. Nicole Renee and Erin worked their magic and made already beautiful women look better than the Duchess on her wedding day. Kate we love you and you were simply stunning but our models were amazing!! They spent their whole day preparing for the show and while Nichole Renee and Erin worked hard in the background, they were the foundation for everything beautiful on that day.

Professional models from left to right: Ashley Swingle, Ming, Monica, Irene Montes, Designer: DeedeeVicory, Maria Masha Pichugina, Masha Spiridonova, Carly, Katie, and Chelsea.

Deedee Vicory is The Wedding Seamstress and the designer/owner of D’Lola Couture. She walks out after her models take their last walk down the runway and she is just an inspiration and I am honored to be her friend. The photo on the bottom is one of my favorites from the whole day. Everyone had fun and it was truly a great event. I can’t wait to see everyone again at our shows in 2016. My wish for Be Unique Bridal, D’Lola Couture, Amore Fiori, Geri’s Gems, HMUA: Nichole Renee and Erin, and Simply Bridal Show, is that we all have our best year yet.

Concert pianist and singer, Jerimiah Owens, has quickly gained much respect in the arts community in both Denver and New York City. Jerimiah Owens was born into a family of musicians and began performing as a vocalist at age 5. Although Owens began studying the piano at the unusually late age of 15, he has managed to develop his piano career unaffected. In addition to performing in master classes with Olga Kern, Andrew Cooperstock and William Goldstein, Mr. Owens’ Colorado piano performance credits include recitals given at Schmitt Hall, Onofrio Hall, Trinity Church, DSA Concert Hall, The Broadmoor Hotel, and Lamont School of Music. He also performs several home concerts per year with various chamber musicians. His former piano teachers include Angelina Gadeliya, alumni of The Juilliard School, currently in residence at Carnegie Hall with her chamber group “Decoda” and Artur Stoyanov, former faculty member of Moscow State Conservatory. Coming from a family of both professional and amateur vocalists, Owens began singing at age 5 and performing in productions such as Beauty and the Beast, Oklahoma!, Annie, Guys and Dolls, The King and I, and Fiddler on the Roof. Jerimiah joined the a capella group Vocality Singers in 2014. His former voice teachers include Dana Vachharajani, alumni of The Juilliard School and Cody Qualls of “FACE” vocal band. Jerimiah Owens made his conducting debut with the orchestra of Expositions Theatrical Arts Company in Denver and their production of “CARRIE: The Musical” in 2013. After a successful run, he was invited back to conduct the orchestra of the company’s summer production of the Broadway hit “CHICAGO”. Jerimiah has performed most recently as a jazz singer in one of New York City’s oldest speakeasy jazz clubs “The Backroom” with Svetlana and the Delancey 5. He has also enjoyed many successful performances as a swing dancer at venues such as NYU and Lincoln Center in NYC, The Stotebury Mansion in Philadelphia, and The Mercury Cafe in Denver. Owens will perform several concerts in 2015, most notably at the Cherokee Castle in Sedalia, Colorado in December. After graduating from Denver School of the Arts with a focus in piano performance and a minor in operatic and jazz vocal performance, Jerimiah Owens began teaching in his home in Wheat Ridge Colorado. He is passionate about instilling the art of voice and piano into Denver youth and adult learners.
